    That Council CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9490, 2024”, in conjunction with the current Financial Plan and confirm there are no issues.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

    That Council CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9490, 2024”, in conjunction with the current Regional District Solid Waste Management Plan; and confirm there are no issues.

  • RECOMMENDATION #4:

  • RECOMMENDATION 8:

    That Council PERMITS that consideration of Final Reading of proposed Bylaws No. 9490 and 9491 BE WITHHELD until the following requirement has been met to the satisfaction of Administration:

    1. Receipt of a Servicing Brief.

    In addition, any recommendations presented in the preceding items must be addressed to the satisfaction of the Director of Planning and Development.

DIRECTOR OF CIVIC FACILITIES AND EVENTS - ANDY BEESLEY
  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council APPROVES Administration accepting an incentive offer from FortisBC to fund $704,288 towards completing a CN Centre Boiler, Chiller, and Condenser project, which will be placed in Questica for Council funding approval as a 2025 Capital Project.

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council APPROVES Administration accepting a pending incentive offer from FortisBC and amend the Financial Plan for project #3424 from the original funding source of $2,150,000 Debt Reduction Reserve if successful.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

    That Council AUTHORIZES the Director of Civic Facilities & Events to sign the FortisBC Implementation Incentive letter attached to the report dated August 9, 2024 from the Director of Civic Facilities and Events titled "Custom Efficiency Program Implementation Incentive Approval - CN Centre Boiler, Chiller, Condenser Upgrades and Elksentre Refrigeration Upgrades" and the implementation incentive letter for the pending incentive for project #3424, if successful.

  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council DIRECTS Administration to REVIEW options to incentivize businesses to screen their garbage, recycling and outdoor storage areas with a view to eliminate excess containers as described within the report titled, “Report on Enhanced Fire Patrols” dated July 11, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council DIRECTS Administration to REVIEW options to establish a cardboard recycling program with frequent pick up in the downtown core as described within the report titled, “Report on Enhanced Fire Patrols” dated July 11, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

    That Council DIRECTS Administration to REVIEW options to establish a program where pallets can be properly disposed of and/or recycled as described within the report titled, “Report on Enhanced Fire Patrols” dated July 11, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION #4:

    That Council DIRECTS Administration to REVIEW options to reduce the buildup of tires in the downtown core as described within the report titled, “Report on Enhanced Fire Patrols” dated July 11, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION #5:

    That Council REFERS to the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs consideration to engage with BC Housing to examine the rules and restrictions of its provincially funded shelters in Prince George as described within the report titled, “Report on Enhanced Fire Patrols” dated July 11, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION #6:

    That Council DIRECTS Administration to meet with the RCMP on the detachments strategic plan where discussion on municipal priorities can be shared as described within the report titled, “Report on Enhanced Fire Patrols” dated July 11, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION #7:

    That Council DIRECTS Administration to explore an event where the municipality can support the removal of derelict vehicles as described within the report titled, “Report on Enhanced Fire Patrols” dated July 11, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council SUPPORTS an application being submitted by the City of Prince George under the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) 2024 Regional Community to Community (C2C) Program for up to $20,000 in grant funding to initiate two C2C forums between the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, City of Prince George and Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, and CONFIRMS that the City of Prince George will participate in the two planned C2C forums.
