    That the agenda for the regular meeting of Council scheduled for June 24, 2024, BE ADOPTED.

    That the minutes of the regular Council meeting held June 12, 2024, BE ADOPTED as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all of the business before Council at that meeting and fully and properly record all of the resolutions passed by Council at that meeting.

  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council RECEIVE FOR INFORMATION the report dated June 19, 2024, from Mayor Yu titled, “New rural and Francophone immigration pilots”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council AUTHORIZES Staff to explore the Rural Community Immigration Pilot and the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot programs and to submit an application to one or both pilots pending closer review of suitability and resources to undertake the program.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the Northern Sport Centre Limited Shareholders’ Resolutions attached as Schedule “B” to the report dated June 16, 2024 from the City Manager titled “Northern Sport Centre Limited Annual Report”; and AUTHORIZES the City Manager to sign the Shareholders’ Resolutions, as of June 30, 2024.

DIRECTOR OF CIVIC FACILITIES AND EVENTS - ANDY BEESLEY
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the Director of Civic Facilities and Events to sign the Letter of Agreement for Sponsorship Naming of the NSC Gymnasium Main Court, as attached to the report dated June 6, 2024, from the Director of Civic Facilities and Events, titled “Sponsorship of NSC Gymnasium Main Court”.

DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES - ERIC DEPENAU
  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated June 19, 2024, from the Director of Administrative Services titled “Post Community Safety Town Hall Update”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council ENDORSES the broad phasing proposed within the report dated June 19, 2024 from the Director of Administrative Services, titled “Post Community Safety Town Hall Update”, as a tool to communicate and organize activities related to the Lower Patricia Boulevard Encampment.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

    That Council APPROVES the boundaries of the Lower Patricia Boulevard Encampment proposed within the report dated June 19, 2024 from the Director of Administrative Services, titled “Post Community Safety Town Hall Update”, as the City’s interpretation of the Court protected area.

  • RECOMMENDATION #4:

    That Council DIRECTS Staff to re-establish perimeter fencing at the Lower Patricia Boulevard Encampment to better define the boundaries of the encampment as described within the report dated June 19, 2024 from the Director of Administrative Services, titled “Post Community Safety Town Hall Update”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #5:

    That Council DIRECTS Staff to explore redirecting existing staff resources to support the reinvigoration of the Community Safety Hub as a forum to promote coordination amongst partner agencies and to share quarterly updates on the management of social issues as described within the report dated June 19, 2024 from the Director of Administrative Services titled, “Post Community Safety Town Hall Update”, for additional public safety engagement.

  • RECOMMENDATION #6:

    That Council DIRECTS Staff to set meetings where local government partners, namely the Regional District of Fraser Fort George and the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, can provide input on the actions described within this report.

DIRECTOR OF CIVIC OPERATIONS - BLAKE MCINTOSH
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the City of Prince George applying for a funding opportunity from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Growing Canada’s Community Canopies initiative for Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Tree Replanting Plan project, as described in the report dated June 24, 2024, from the Director of Civic Operations titled "FCM Tree Grant" and if the application is successful, AUTHORIZES the Director of Civic Operations to sign the associated funding agreement(s).
