  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council CONFIRMS the methods used to gather the views of potentially affected property owners were in accordance with section 4: Public Consultation of the City of Prince George Liquor and Cannabis Licensing Policy and that the views of affected residents are as summarized in the minutes of the Council Meeting held on February 3, 2025.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

    That Council SUPPORTS the approval of the Liquor Licence Amendment Application to change hours of liquor service to 9:00am to 11:00 pm Monday to Sunday for Tee Box Golf Simulators & Lounge Ltd. located at 401 3rd Avenue, for the following reasons:

    This application is not expected to have a negative impact on the community or produce any significant negative land use impacts on adjacent properties.

  • RECOMMENDATION #5:

    That Council AUTHORIZES subject to obtaining statutory approval from the Inspector of Municipalities for Stormwater System Renewal Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9533, 2025, an alternative approval process in accordance with section 86 of the Community Charter be used for the purpose of seeking approval of the electors in relation to Stormwater System Renewal Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9533, 2025.

  • RECOMMENDATION #6:

    That Council AUTHORIZES Elector Response Form for Stormwater System Renewal Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9533, 2025 as attached to report dated January 27, 2025 titled “2025 Loan Authorization, Equipment Financing Bylaw and Approval of the Electors’ Options.”

  • RECOMMENDATION #7:

    That Council GIVES FIRST THREE READINGS of "Civic Centre BAS & Chiller Renewal Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9534, 2025".

  • RECOMMENDATION #8:

    That Council AUTHORIZES subject to obtaining statutory approval from the Inspector of Municipalities for Civic Centre BAS & Chiller Renewal Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9534, 2025, an alternative approval process in accordance with section 86 of the Community Charter be used for the purpose of seeking approval of the electors in relation to Civic Centre BAS & Chiller Renewal Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9534, 2025.

  • RECOMMENDATION #10:

    That Council ESTABLISHES the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on May 20, 2025 for receiving Elector Response Forms for the alternative approval processes for Bylaws 9532, 9533, & 9534, 2025.

  • RECOMMENDATION #11:

    That Council APPROVES the determination of the total number of electors of the area to which the three (3) alternative processes apply for Bylaw 9532, 9533, and 9534, 2025 as 56,291 electors, on the basis described in the report dated January 27, 2025 from the Director Finance and IT Services and Manager of Legislative Services titled “2025 Loan Authorization, Equipment Financing Bylaw and Approval of the Electors’ Options.”

  • RECOMMENDATION #12:

    That Council DIRECTS the Corporate Officer to report the results of the three (3) alternative approval processes for Bylaw 9532, 9533, and 9534, 2025 and if approval of the electors has been obtained, to return Bylaw 9532, 9533, and 9534, 2025 for Council's consideration of final reading and adoption.

    That the City of Prince George SUPPORTS the application to Northern Development Initiative Trust’s Cultural Infrastructure program from the Fraser-Fort George Museum Society for a grant of up to $54,498.00 for the Children’s STEAM Gallery project to be paid from the Prince George Regional Development Account.

    That the City of Prince George SUPPORTS Providence Living's grant application for the Northern Development Initiative Trust Northern Healthy Communities Fund in the amount of up to $500,000 to support facility and equipment needs for their new 200-bed long-term care home.

    That the City of Prince George SUPPORTS the Providence Living's grant application to the Northern Development Initiative Trust Northern Healthy Communities Fund Capacity Building Grant in the amount of up to $300,000 in support of Providence Living’s development of a new 200-bed intergenerational long-term care home, opening in Winter 2027/28.
