  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the agenda for the regular meeting of Council scheduled for April 13, 2026 , BE ADOPTED.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the minutes of the regular Council meeting held March 23, 2026, BE ADOPTED as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all of the business before Council at that meeting and fully and properly record all of the resolutions passed by Council at that meeting.

STANDING COMMITTEE ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS - COUNCILLOR GARTH FRIZZELL, CHAIR
  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council DIRECTS administration to submit to UBCM a resolution to strongly urge the Provincial government to explain and reverse the decision to reduce the Northern-Rural Homeowners grant as described in the report dated April 7, 2026 from the Chair of the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs, titled “Changes to Northern-Rural Homeowners Grant”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council DIRECTS administration to inform and offer partnership on the resolution to other northern and rural municipalities as described in the report dated April 7, 2026 from the Chair of the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs, titled “Changes to Northern-Rural Homeowners Grant”.

DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES - ERIC DEPENAU

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the engagement results in the report dated March 9, 2026, from the Director of Administrative Services, titled “Downtown Prince George Public Washroom Survey What We Heard Report”.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. SUPPORTS the City submitting a grant application to the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) Community Emergency Preparedness Fund –Public Notification and Evacuation Route Planning in the amount of forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to support the finalization of the City’s Evacuation Response Plan;
    2. AUTHORIZES the City’s Director of Finance and/or Director of Administrative Services to sign the grant application and subsequent contract documents should grant approval be received; and
    3. CONFIRMS that the City of Prince George will assume overall grant management should grant approval be received.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council: 

    1. CONFIRMS that its comments on the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch’s prescribed considerations are as set out in the report dated March 19, 2026, from Deanna Wasnik, Director of Planning and Development, for Liquor License Application No. LL100207;
    2. SUPPORTS the approval of the Patron Participant Entertainment Endorsement for APA Hotel Canada Inc., Inc. No. BC0105008 located at 770 Brunswick Street for the following reasons:

    This application is not expected to have a negative impact on the community or produce any significant negative land use impacts on adjacent properties.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That there being no further business the Regular Meeting of Council, BE ADJOURNED.
