    That the agenda for the regular meeting of Council scheduled for April 23, 2025 , BE ADOPTED.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the minutes of the regular Council meeting held April 7, 2025 and the Reconvened Public Hearing held April 9, 2025, BE ADOPTED as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all of the business before Council at those meetings and fully and properly record all of the resolutions passed by Council at those meetings.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council DENIES Development Variance Permit No. VP100697 to vary “City of Prince George Zoning Bylaw No. 7850, 2007” for the property legally described Lot 14, District Lot 2424, Cariboo District, Plan 9563, Except Parcel A (Plan 21061) as follows:

    1. Vary Section 9.5.6 1. by increasing the maximum total combined gross floor area of accessory buildings on a site from 90.0 m2 to 238.0 m2, as shown on Exhibit “A” to VP100697; and
    2. Vary Section 9.5.6 2. by increasing the maximum height of accessory development from 7.0 m to 7.4 m, as shown on Exhibit “B” to VP100697.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council AUTHORIZE administration to review the 13 eligible but declined applications from the limited-duration operating grant intake and select the recipient(s) best suited based on the prior evaluation, for the remaining $10,000 from the 2025 grant budget, as outlined in the report dated March 31, 2025, from the Director of Civic Facilities & Events titled: “Unallocated Funds from Limited Duration Operating 2025 Grant Budget.”

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated April 23, 2025 titled “Snow and Ice Control Costing Breakdown (November 1st to December 31st, 2024), from the Director of Civic Operations.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report titled “Snow Clearing on Statutory Holidays” dated April 9, 2025 from the Director of Civic Operations.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND IT SERVICES - KRIS DALIO
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. SUPPORTS the City submitting a grant application to the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) Next Generation 9-1-1 Funding in the amount of $100,000 to support the updating of Mobile Computer-Aided Dispatch on fire response vehicles; and
    2. AUTHORIZES the City’s Director of Finance and IT Services and Director of Administrative Services to sign the grant application and subsequent contract documents should grant approval be received;

    all as outlined in the report dated April 11, 2025 from the Director of Finance and IT Services titled “Next Gen 9-1-1 Mobile CAD grant.”

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council DIRECTS the traffic upon the access road located within the Lower Patricia Boulevard right-of-way of 498 Ottawa Street be temporarily restricted to emergency and City vehicles only, under the authority of s. 38 (1) of the Community Charter as detailed in the April 15, 2025 report from the Director of Administrative Services titled "Requesting Temporary Closure of Lower Patricia Access Road."

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council GRANTS FINAL READING AND ADOPTION of "City of Prince George Energy System Bylaw No. 8471, 2012, Amendment Bylaw No. 9537, 2025."

  • RECOMMENDATION:

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. CONFIRMS that its comments on the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch’s prescribed considerations are as set out in the report dated March 26, 2025 from the Director of Planning and Development for Cannabis License Application No. CN000023;
    2. CONFIRMS the methods used to gather the views of potentially affected property owners were in accordance with Section 4: Public Consultation of the City of Prince George Liquor and Cannabis Licensing Policy and that the views of affected residents are as summarized in the minutes of the Public Hearing held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025; and
    3. SUPPORTS the approval of the Cannabis License Application to allow the retail of cannabis for Grasshopper Retail Inc. at 470 Ospika Boulevard subject to the adoption of “City of Prince George Zoning Bylaw No. 7850, 2007, Amendment Bylaw No. 9536, 2025”, for the following reasons:

    This application is not expected to have a negative impact on the community or produce any significant negative land use impacts on adjacent properties.

    That there being no further business the Regular Meeting of Council, BE ADJOURNED.
