STANDING COMMITTEE ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the draft resolution attached to this report, titled NCLGA Resolution Related to Taxation on School District Property, dated February 13th, 2024, and DIRECTS administration to submit the resolution and substantiation to the North Central Local Government Associations 2024 annual general meeting.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council CONSIDERS the draft policy “Council Member Fund for Independent Legal Advice on Conflict of Interest” as attached to the report dated January 22, 2024, and titled “Independent Legal Advice regarding Conflict of Interest Funding.”

  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council GIVES FIRST THREE READINGS to “City of Prince George Council Remuneration Bylaw No. 8414, 2012, Amendment Bylaw No. 9456, 2024.”

     

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council revoke Council Code of Conduct Policy dated December 16, 2013. 

ACTING DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES - ERIC DEPENAU
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated February 15, 2024 and titled “Communications and Engagement Strategy.”

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT Council;

    1.    ACCEPTS the terms and conditions of Emergency and Disaster Management Act Implementation – Indigenous Engagement Requirements Funding Program contribution agreement (ECR24351) to receive designated funding in the amount of forty thousand dollars ($40,000); AND

    2.    AUTHORIZES the City’s Director of Finance and Acting Director of Administrative Services to sign the contribution agreement and subsequent contract documents should grant approval be received.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT Council RECEIVE FOR INFORMATION the report dated February 6, 2024, titled “2024 Fire Services Operating Budget Enhancement,” from the Acting Director Administrative Services.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated February 16, 2024 from the Director of Civic Operations titled “2023 Road and Sidewalk Capital Projects Review.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    1. That Council RECEIVE FOR INFORMATION the Cash Balance, Expiration and Refund policy changes as outlined in the report titled Prince George Transit System Electronic Fare Policy Update, dated February 26, 2024, from the Director of Civic Operations.

    2. That Council approve a change in the structure of the Monthly Pass, in which the pass is converted from a fixed-date pass to a rolling 30-day pass.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council SUPPORTS the application to Northern Development Initiative Trust for a grant of up to $20,000 for the Prince George Marketing Website Development project and AUTHORIZES the Director of Planning and Development and the Director of Finance to sign any necessary funding agreements.
