  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the agenda for the May 21, 2024 Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs meeting, BE ADOPTED.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the minutes of the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs meeting held March 4, 2024 be adopted as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all the business before the committee at that meeting and fully and properly record all of the resolutions passed by the committee at that meeting.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report titled “Tax Sale Mandated Procedural Changes 2024”, dated May 13, 2024; and

     

    RECOMMENDS TO COUNCIL THAT a letter be written to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs to raise concerns regarding the challenges faced by the City in implementing the changes proposed as outlined in this report; and

     

    RECOMMENDS TO COUNCIL that a copy of the letter be sent to NCLGA members.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report titled “2024 Budget Referrals”, dated May 13, 2024.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION this report titled, “Proposed Motion – Gender Based Violence”, dated May 13, 2024.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report titled “Advocacy to Increase Conservation officers”, dated May 13, 2024.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated May 13, 2024, and titled "Updates to the Committee Work Plan and Calendar".

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs SCHEDULES a meeting outside of a regular meeting of the Committee to develop an advocacy strategy plan for the City of Prince George at the Union of BC Municipalities Convention held in September 2024.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That there being no further business, the meeting of the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs BE ADJOURNED.
