    That the attached minutes of the regular Council meeting held July 29, 2019, be adopted as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all of the business before Council at that meeting and fully and properly record all of the resolutions and bylaws passed and adopted by Council at that meeting.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT the report dated August 8, 2019 from the General Manager of Planning and Development titled “Monthly Building Permit and Development Permit Summary (July 2019)”, BE RECEIVED FOR INFORMATION.

    THAT Council APPROVE Development Variance Permit No. VP100543 to vary the City of Prince George Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 8618, 2014 for Parcel 1, District Lots 748 and 750, Cariboo District Plan 32973, Except Part in Plan EPP6471 as follows:

    1. Table 1, Section 7.3, by waiving the requirement for Portland Cement Concrete sidewalks; and
    2. The variance only applies for the area identified on Exhibit “A” to VP100543 and for Subdivision Application No. SD100576.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT Council DENY Variance Permit No. VP100547 to vary City of Prince George Zoning Bylaw No. 7850, 2007 for the property legally described as Lot 68, District Lot 4047, Cariboo District, Plan 9543 as follows:

    1. Vary Section 10.2.6 1. by increasing the maximum total combined gross floor area of accessory buildings on site from 90 m2 to 197 m2, as shown on Exhibit “A” to VP100547; and
    2. Vary Section 10.2.6 2. to increase the maximum height of an accessory building from 5.0 m to 7.0 m, as shown on Exhibit “B” to VP100547.

    That Council receive for information the attached report from Kristen Hirsh-Pearson who attended the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) AGM and conference May 30 – June 2, 2019 in Quebec City under the 2019 student mentorship program.

GENERAL MANAGER OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT - IAN WELLS

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT Council instruct the Corporate Officer to advise Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada in writing that:

    1. TELUS has satisfactorily completed its consultation with the City of Prince George;
    2. The City of Prince George is satisfied with TELUS’ public consultation process and does not require any further consultation with the public; and
    3. The City of Prince George concurs with TELUS’ proposal to construct a wireless communications facility provided it is constructed substantially in accordance with the plans submitted to the City of Prince George for a 30.0 m tall monopole and ancillary equipment at 3041 McGill Crescent (Lot A, District Lot 753, Cariboo District, Plan 20275, except plans 23706 and 23714).

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council GRANT FINAL READING AND ADOPTION to "City of Prince George Performing Arts Centre Reserve Fund Establishment Bylaw No. 9054, 2019."

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the City of Prince George SUPPORT the Northern Development Initiative Trust - Community Halls and Recreation grant application from St Mary's Parish in the amount of $30,000 from the Prince George Regional Development Account.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the City of Prince George SUPPORT the application of the Parish of St. Michael and All Angel’s Anglican Church for a grant in the amount of $30,000 from the Nothern Development Initiative Trust “Community Hall and Recreation Facilities” Program, from the Prince George Regional Development Fund.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That there being no further business the Regular Meeting of Council, BE ADJOURNED.
