  • RECOMMENDATION:

    Be it resolved that Council supports the issuance of the license to increase the occupant load for the following reasons:

    Be it resolved that Council's comments on the prescribed considerations are as set out in the August 23, 2019 staff report from Ian Wells, General Manager of Planning and Development for Liquor Licence Application No. LL100162.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    Be it resolved that the methods used to gather the views of residents are as follows:

    The views of residents were collected in a Public Hearing held on September 9, 2019 in Council Chambers. The public notice for this hearing included 1) a sign was posted on the property ten (10) days prior to the hearing, 2) written notification to owners and tenants in occupation of all parcels within the area that was the subject of the application, and within a distance 30 metres from the land that was subject of this application ten (10) days prior to the hearing, and 3) advertisements were placed in two (2) consecutive issues of a newspaper, not less than three (3) and not more than ten (10) days before the hearing.

    That Council INSTRUCTS the Corporate Officer to advise Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada in writing that:

    1. TELUS has satisfactorily completed its consultation with the City of Prince George;
    2. The City of Prince George is satisfied with TELUS' public consultation process and does not require any further consultation with the public; and,
    3. The City of Prince George concurs with TELUS' proposal to construct a wireless communications facility provided it is constructed substantially in accordance with the plans submitted to the City of Prince George for a 60.0 metre self-support tower with 15 antennas and 4.0 metre lightning rod mounted at the top of the structure on the subject property (NW ¼ of District Lot District Lot 2432 Cariboo District, except plan PGP39486).
