  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the agenda for the regular meeting of Council scheduled for February 6, 2023 be amended by adding two (2) new report items as agenda items D.12 and D.13 and that the agenda, BE ADOPTED AS AMENDED.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the minutes of the regular Council meeting held January 16, 2023, BE ADOPTED as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all of the business before Council at that meeting and fully and properly record all of the resolutions passed by Council at that meeting.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the staff report dated January 20, 2023 from the Director of Planning and Development titled “Report on Land Sales Approved under the Officer Positions and Delegation of Authority Bylaw No. 8340, 2011 for October 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022”.

STANDING COMMITTEE ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS - COUNCILLOR GARTH FRIZZELL, CHAIR
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council REQUESTS the Mayor’s office provide a letter to the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills:

    1. in support of establishing a Veterinary Medicine Program at the University of Northern British Columbia with consideration given to practicum placement and retention of students in the region; and
    2. that requests a review and consideration of the potential impact of veterinarian retirement trends and changes to the degree qualification assessment and accreditation of all medical practitioners, including veterinarians, to help mitigate the service gap.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the draft 2023 – 2026 Strategic Plan as attached to the report dated January 31, 2022 from the City Manager, titled “Strategic Plan: 2023 – 2026.”

  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council RESCINDS the following resolutions passed at the January 16, 2023 regular council meeting:

    “That Council APPROVES a budget amendment to Project #3352 – Malaspina Avenue Daycare to decrease the budget from $5,135,299 to $4,795,299 with a funding source of Grants; and”

    “That Council APPROVES a budget amendment to Project #3353 – Dagg Road Daycare to increase the budget from $2,381,493 to $2,721,493 with a funding source of Grants.”

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council APPROVES a budget amendment to Project #3352 – Malaspina Avenue Daycare to decrease the budget from $5,135,299 to $4,935,299 with a funding source of Grants.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

    That Council APPROVES a budget amendment to Project #3353 – Dagg Road Daycare to increase the budget from $2,381,493 to $2,581,493 with a funding source of Grants.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

  • RECOMMENDATION #4:

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

    That Council ESTABLISHES the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 for receiving Elector Response Forms for the alternative approval process for “City of Prince George Equipment Financing Bylaw No. 9382, 2023”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #4:

    That Council APPROVES the determination of the total number of electors of the area to which the alternative approval process applies for “City of Prince George Equipment Financing Bylaw No. 9382, 2023” as 55,941 electors, on the basis described in this report.

  • RECOMMENDATION #5:

    That Council DIRECTS the Corporate Officer to report the results of the alternative approval process for “City of Prince George Equipment Financing Bylaw No. 9382, 2023” and if approval of the electors has been obtained, to return “City of Prince George Equipment Financing Bylaw No. 9382, 2023” for Council’s consideration of final reading and adoption.
